Think Waves Save Lives

Think Waves was founded by experienced surfers and officially awarded lifesavers Milton Willis and Michael Willis

After hearing about multiple drownings occurring at beaches including lifeguarded beaches the twin brothers began an ambitious ocean safety campaign to educate others on how surfers mentally and physically approach rip currents.

Think Waves Lifesaving Organization works tirelessly to reduce rescues and prevent drowning. We do this with the generous support of people like yourself.

Think Waves Lifesaving Organization works alongside the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to update international water safety policy. NOAA and USLA have both incorporated the surfer approach — move toward waves, use the ocean’s energy — into their updated rip current guidance.

ABOUT US

The Surfers Way is an intuitive self rescue rip current survival method used to avoid and or escape rip currents, originating in the distant past way before life guarding ever existed. Passed on from generations of experienced surfers this “self-rescue” survival technique is the most efficient way if not the only way for self-rescue.
